PERSONAL STORY = Jesus saved my life.  His power and Spirit strengthened me.  God's Word empowered, enriched and changed me.  My life resembles pieces from the story of Job, the parable of the lost son, the prophet Amos, Jonah, Saint Peter, Saint Paul, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I drove myself to amass material idols such as boats, real estate property, new cars, etc.  I fooled myself with the delusion that I was giving my family a lifestyle that projected affluence, abundance, fun, and importance.  After I lost everything, including many relationships, all these material gains left me broken-hearted in distress with only a small measure of faith and hope.  During the past 30 years, I have harvested insightful knowledge pertaining to alcoholism, ADD, addictions, divorce, depression, human behavior, faith, prayer, hope and love.  Through other's encouragement and support, I forgive 'what is behind and strain toward what is ahead; I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.'

The first step in setting up coaching sessions is to contact me for a complimentary session. PURPOSE/MISSION/CALLING AS A COACH = My purpose as a coach is to bring hope to those with chronic illness, such as fibromyalgia, Lupus, IC, Chronic fatigue, MS, and other auto-immune or debilitating illness, specializing in self-care rituals and awareness. My mission is to co-create a structure with each of my clients that helps produce a sense of more control in their lives.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND = My professional background is a carefully woven tapestry of rich life experience. Some of my professional experiences include owning and operating a Christian bookstore, working as a Hospital Chaplain assigned to four emergency units (my specialty was working with dialysis patients, kidney cancer and transplant patients). 

I also served as an Outreach Pastor to a large Free Methodist church for five years, providing food, clothing, and shelter as well as pastoral care to men, women and children. As an extension of my Outreach work, I planted a mission-based church, named Living Hope, in 2006.  There, I was able to follow my heart, founding support groups to coach women through domestic violence, sexual abuse, and homelessness, as well as spiritual and emotional depravity. In doing so, I recognized more clearly the great need to educate people on the necessity of self-care, which opened a whole new platform of Coaching people to wellness-spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.

I am currently working on two books, "Kiss the Ring: One Women's Journey Into the Pastorate" and another, which will be a journal/workbook for those seeking better self-care and for the chronically ill.

MAJOR INFLUENCES = The major influences in my life have been a handful of compassionate, wise and humble educators of which I was blessed to cross paths with on this journey.  Additionally, each one of my clients for the past 9 years have taught me life lessons about myself personally and professionally. I owe much of what I have learned to them and I value each of them.

PERSONAL STORY =  I came to know Christ in the basement of a Baptist church when I was 12 years old. I can still remember that moment very clearly. My journey has taken me on many different paths, including owning a Christian bookstore, working as a hospital Chaplain, working as a Free Methodist Pastor, and Coaching. I have had many trials as a woman in ministry, many heartaches in the Church and these experiences are all a part of who I am today. They were all rich and deep in unique ways and I have met some very interesting people along the way. I firmly believe that we grow the most in the valley rather than on the mountaintop, so I have tried to extract wisdom from each valley on my journey.
